Sports Writing Intern

Description

We are looking for a writer with significant sports knowledge across professional and college sports (esp. baseball, football, basketball) to research and write 500-1000 word pieces around big events, big series/rivalries, and team histories/bios for the TicketIQ blog and for placement on major sports publisher sites in our network.

The intern will also learn SEO skills, such as identifying and utilizing Google trends for keyword use. The writing will also be data driven. The intern will have access to ticket data across major events and will learn to let data trends shape the story.

Requirements

A college degree or current college student with hands on experience researching, writing, editing, and curating content in the sports space.

The intern would work at the TicketIQ office in New York City and report to the Director of Editorial.

We are looking for a writer with significant knowledge of music and entertainment across all genres to write 500-1000 word articles around big tours and artist bios/descriptions for placement on major music publisher sites in our network.

Marketing Intern

Description

As a Marketing Intern at TicketIQ, you will assist the Director of Marketing with creation, setup, and management of digital marketing campaigns. Great opportunity to build digital marketing skill set in leading e-commerce company. TicketIQ will also provide intern with MediaMath T1 certification. MediaMath is the leading DSP for Media buying and certified operators are in high demand. Will be provided a monthly stipend that includes travel expenses. Excellent candidates may also be considered for full time employment at the end of the internship.

Major Areas of Responsibility

  • Execution of digital marketing strategies
  • Develop creative wording for online advertisements
  • Organize campaigns for easy reporting
  • Advise managers about issues relating to marketing spend

Primary Objectives

  • Customer acquisition through online marketing channels
  • Execute digital marketing strategies

  • Work closely and assist Director of Marketing with online campaigns

Specific Responsibilities

Work closely and assist Director of Marketing at TicketIQ in the execution of digital marketing strategies that specifically revolve around retargeting and customer acquisition through channels such as Google AdWords and various ad exchanges. Build creatives that appeal to ticket-buying consumers of sports teams, musical artists, and theatrical events. Create reports around areas such as spend, clicks, and conversions from online ads.

Requirements

  • Must be outgoing and able to excel in a fast-paced work environment
  • Must be able to work in-office 2-3 days a week
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • General knowledge of online advertising
  • Above average communication skills
  • Familiarity with online advertising
  • Interest in sports, music, & entertainment very important.

Education

Working towards and/or degree from an accredited 4 year school in a Marketing-related field.
